"I usually make music as an outlet for some sort of frustration, I can almost relate each album to a specific event or period of my life. With Benzalkonium specifically, it was the souring of a relationship and coming to terms with things and our relationship never being the same again. The first record is very noise based and unapologetically so. I find it almost drowns you in its textures but it was these textures that granted me a sort of comfort in this transitional period. The second record is definitely the more accessible of the two. It's more texture based than the first one and I find it's a nice reflection piece to the first. They both work together as juxtaposing statements"
