Ethan Heller

Senior Accountant at Luma Financial Group

Ethan Heller has built his early career through steady effort, discipline, and the ability to work well under pressure. At Lehigh University, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business & Economics, majoring in Finance and minoring in Management. He consistently earned Dean’s List honors and graduated with the highest academic honors.

During the same period, Ethan competed as a Division I baseball player and spent 20-25 hours/week on practice, games, and leadership development. An injury ended his time as an athlete, but it did not end his involvement in the sport. He began working with coaches to use performance data for training strategies. This experience helped him learn how to simplify complex information and make decisions when the situation was unclear.

Early Exposure to Private Equity

Ethan's first experience in private equity came through multiple internships, where he often worked with senior management and portfolio company executives. One early experience involved speaking with over 20 executives from different industries. These conversations helped him understand how organizations think about growth, culture, and the future.

He also learned that financial performance is closely connected to clear communication and shared belief in meaningful work. During one internship, he presented acquisition analyses directly to a CEO and joined product development discussions for a portfolio company. He also completed pricing and industry analysis for a prototype product with multimillion-dollar implications.

Driving Results in Operations

After graduation, he began his career at a private equity firm as a Project Specialist. This role focused on execution and placed him on initiatives with measurable financial benefits across portfolio companies.

One project involved reviewing fuel usage and cost structures for aircraft operations. He built break-even models to improve flight activity and reduce inefficiencies. He also developed an inventory system to support nationwide consolidation, thereby reducing costs and streamlining operations.

Ethan Heller's financial insight into operational change was shown in a cost-reduction program he led. That program delivered over $300k in annualized savings and helped improve cash flow and financial stability. He also provided daily liquidity analyses to maintain flexible capital allocation. As part of an asset restructuring, he worked on several real estate deals across multiple states, using financial planning and analysis to support decisions about what to buy, what to sell, and how to plan for the long term.

Expanding into Financial Services and Entrepreneurship

In 2025, Ethan joined LUMA Financial Group. In this role, he works with clients in various industries and uses financial modeling, budgeting, and performance tracking to help businesses gain clarity. His work helps companies understand where they stand and operate with a clearer view of their direction.

Ethan focuses on the metrics that truly drive value. He understands that many KPIs do not always show the real condition of a business. Because of this, his financial models are built to support decision-making, whether a company is evaluating new investments or improving existing operations.

On the entrepreneurial side, he recently founded and became the managing partner of an investment holding company. He plans to build a portfolio that includes both traditional and alternative investments. These include real estate, public markets, and emerging markets such as cryptocurrency. He is also active in financial markets, trading Nasdaq-100 futures contracts.

Ethan is also a managing partner in a real estate holding company with residential and commercial properties in several states. These projects show his willingness to take responsibility and apply the disciplined approach he developed early in his career.

A Values-Driven Way of Working and Living

A personal foundation of purpose and values guides his life. He leads by example and works to build relationships that benefit everyone involved. He believes success should go beyond self-interest and should also create value for the people around him.

Beyond financial outcomes, he has also invested time in people. He had responsibility within the Company internship program, leading training sessions for younger team members and supporting both development and accountability.

Ethan has also formed connections with several charitable and humanitarian organizations and personally supported their work. He gives time and resources to help people and families in need. He has spoken with donors about international programs for orphaned children and has helped with food insecurity initiatives.

Continuing the Climb

Ethan Heller is still early in his professional journey, but his pattern is clear. He takes on responsibility, focuses on what can be measured and built to last, and brings discipline to the work he does for others and for himself.

What makes him stand out is not one single accomplishment. It is the way each new responsibility shows the same quality more clearly. He knows how to turn effort into output.
