I just graduated from the University of Arizona, and am currently looking for a job or internship. I hope to work in the non-profit sector, with an eye towards political analysis and creating social change. My academic focus has been on politics and history, with additional skills in math, statistics, and philosophy. This allows me to bring unique perspectives to the table that can help focus and conceptualize political work.
Recently I interned at Compass Affordable Housing: a Tucson-based non-profit which organizes rapid re-housing for homeless and unhoused people. I learned a range of new skills, from organizing accurate documentation that passes city audits, to explaining bureaucratic processes to participants in a way that makes them feel comfortable and secure. The work also gave me new insights into the diverse functions of class, gender, and race in the welfare system.
I am looking for an internship or entry-level job in political research or advocacy. If you know of an available job, or if you just want to talk about politics with me, I would love to hear from you.Â
