Version 2.65
Ash started in the world by mindlessly wandering around the spawn region, completely devoid of any thought of the world at all. He simply explored the savanna and took in the strange island-like land mass he had woken up on. He gathered basic supplies for himself, such as food and tools for self-defense. Then, all of a sudden, he came across Dakata and Jesse, wanting to invite him into their base that had been created in the ravine directly off the shore of the island they had all woken up on. He would spend many days in this base, collecting resources from the caves just outside of the fenced-in region that had been set up underground, as well as helping with farm work to keep them all fed and well. Over these few days, another new person, Dylan, had come to visit and investigate the simple underground living space the trio had set up for themselves. All four of them had spent many more days beneath ground supplying themselves with tools and bits of resources to assist in their quality of life there.
Eventually, this base came to an end, being abandoned and left in pursuit of new lands to claim and profit from. More open, and more vast terrains to explore, and valuables to discover. Ash had been invited to an entirely new base by Dylan, a member of the base who had frequently visited the ravine settlement, and had the best gear at the time out of all of the population that Ash had known or seen even still. He sets out on a near thousand-block journey, making his way to an open field with yet another ravine sitting next to it, a mountain overlooking their complex with plenty of greenery. All was going well for the members of this new base. The members who had settled here were Ash, Dylan, Dakata, and Jesse to start. The original three members of the island base. Those who had woken up together in this strange world and began to settle and cultivate it, as well as their newfound friend.
Over a week, Dakata had journeyed to the Nether and had begun collecting netherite for the faction. This strange and unique resource was very much a mystery to Ash and he had been unfamiliar with its abilities for a great time, although had heard rumors of its existence. Ash had begun collecting ores beneath the base that had been established and collected various resources. With this collection of resources, Ash began to expand and grow the wall that Dylan had primarily constructed to keep mobs out with cobblestone. This base slowly became known as the Wall Base to the residents, and to travelers, it was often referred to as the "Wall Gang Base". There was an underground region that found and was excavated for a hidden construction. There is still, to this day, an open cave system that was once filled to the brim with countless amounts of dripstone and water. Ash had located a spider spawner and then used it to farm XP, helping to make it more accessible for the rest of his friends he was living with as well. The beacon had been obtained by Dakata and started up, using their vast wealth that had been obtained from excavating the tunnels beneath the surface to power it, and more members slowly began to look toward them, one major member being Mikey.
With time, things began to turn sour. Ash's first taste of a near-death experience came with mentioning a new settlement he had never heard of. Monkeyville. Setting out in the direction he had been told it was in, he had met with a great force flinging him into the sky. He scrambled back to the base, not returning any time soon to this supposed Monkeyville. Sooner or later, there were visitors to the wall base around the time the construction had been completed on the wall. Mathew and Mitchell were these strange new people that they had not seen before. They were accepted into the base. However, in an act of betrayal, Mathew and Mitchell had stolen from their valuables stash and ran off with no trace to be found.
The base immediately went into defense mode, and all valuable items were taken out of the base and hidden in a disclosed location. Dakata began to search for a new base site, traveling thousands of blocks, Dylan, Ash, and Mikey held at spawn, mostly attempting to strengthen their defense. Dylan had begun to produce potions to protect their faction in the event of an invasion, and multiple countermeasures were discussed and planned out.
Eventually, Dakata found a more secure and secluded location to take sanctuary. This time the base was in a well obscured valley between the ocean, a large spruce forest, and the mountainside nearby. The valley slowly tapered off into the ocean a mere 150 blocks away with a rather rocky shoreline, and nobody would have a chance to peek inside unless they were above on the mountaintop. Dakata's pet, Foxy came from this region, having been one of the many foxes taken and held within the inside of the base.
A Nether highway had to be built to transfer the supplies from the older base to the newer base, and so Ash constructed a Nether highway with help from other members off and on. It was very, very dangerous, with a high risk of losing any supplies if the carrier was not careful, although it got the job done. All materials were eventually transported. Everything was going well for a long time. The spawn region of the Nether had just begun to be explored more than ever before by any known civilization, with portals seeming to pop up randomly overnight. Although this put pressure on Ash and his friends to remain hidden and to not be followed back to their newfound home, it allowed for easier communication within the world and to travel across the vast lands.
With some breathing room added, the main members of the base who had moved to the second base began to use it as their main staging region. Ash had heard of a strange portal deep under the ground that could take him to another dimension not yet seen, and began preparing to venture out to find it. Making the dangerous trip, he ventured into this new dimension and explored the endless void of floating islands, slowly making his way across the eternal abyss. He had found multiple cities while adventuring, taking back a horde of spoils for the group, as well as Elytra that allowed the user to glide. Through looting these dangerous and otherworldly cities, Ash, Dakata, and Dylan had slowly gathered more supplies for the base over time.
It had been a great first few weeks at the hideout for the faction. Farms had been set up with steady income pouring in from their villagers at the first Wall Base. Potatoes and carrots were their primary crops. There had been little signs of any other activity in the world for them to hear of until this point. Though they had been preparing, toughening, and fortifying their armor and defenses. It came to Ash's attention that a high-value target of the server that had little relevance tracking down before was trying to get a hold of him. The same one who had betrayed the town of Monkeyville. Although Ash was nearly killed near Monkeyville, he would not stand for the arson and destruction of a community without due reason. But he had more important matters. He exchanged messages with this target, learning it had been a shady figure named Ty. Ash had been requested to lend a hand to Ty and let him use an ender chest. To prepare for this encounter, Ash went alone since the other members were not available.
Upon reaching Ty, who was at the spawn region, he noticed that his armor was weak and thin. It had no enchantments. Ash decided to take him down since he was a valued target and for taking the 10,000-block journey. Waiting to see what Ty had offered him, Ty explained that the payment was nearly nothing in return. This was already immensely suspicious to Ash, alongside the fact that he was staring down a very important target. And so he drew his sword slowly from his scabbard and lunged at Ty, slicing through his armor nearly taking the life of Ty right then and there. Ash had slipped up and shoved Ty into the ocean. This resulted in Ty narrowly escaping due to Ash lacking a boat and fireworks to chase after with his Elytra. Ty had booked it as hard as he could, horribly maimed by Ash, who had headed back to base shortly after while taking an alternate path to avoid trailing. The waters of spawn were left empty. Bloodied. And dangerous after this encounter.
It had been a short few days since the attack that Ash had sprung on Ty. Ash got word that Ty had been captured by a resident of Monkeyville, Setsuna, and taken to Prison. Supposedly he was caught on the run in the Nether while trying to escape what Ash could only assume was himself or somebody else whom he had tried to bribe. If he even had tried to do so at all after the previous attempt. This left Ash somewhat satisfied to have Ty apprehended. A loose end tied up and that had a bow slapped on it to boot. Prison for life to the traitor of Monkeyville.
Weeks would pass. After multiple days of sorting, trading, transporting, and even building still, Ash had spent time to make sure that the base was in order with help from the rest there. Progress was slow, though morale was high. This location had felt the safest out of all else in the world to Ash and the rest. Nobody in the world had been seen even remotely near their faction's hideout, and with all of them being careful to take alternate routes if possible when traveling back, all was well. However, this did not last. Ash had heard of the burning of Monkeyville. He knew what Ty had done, and assumed this to be the end of the matter, with the residents of that settlement finding a new home. Though word had sprung up from the spawn region when Ash had gone to visit one day. He had learned of Mathew and Mitchell both creating a base somewhere within the 7000-block range from spawn as well. There was no doubt in Ash's mind that this would become a major issue, given the fact that these individuals had stolen from the Wall Base once before already. Ash's immediate response was to quickly get back to the base and discuss it with the other base members. The consequence of letting Mathew, Mitchell, and whoever else they had recruited to their side finding the valley base was too great to not discuss.
Much of this planning had to have been cut short by an interruption from an uninvited visitor. It was Setsuna. Ash was highly suspicious of why she was there. His mind darted to Monkeyville, to the Prison, to Ty, and to Mathew and Mitchell. Setsuna steadily began to hang around it more and more as the days lingered. There was nothing more than small talk and occasional questions. This became worrying to everybody in the valley due to a lack of clear intention from her. The base-wide activity would come to a halt in the event of an emergency of the magnitude of the raid of the first Wall Base. This seemed to be an emergency in the making. Tensions began to steadily grow once more, especially learning that Mason was with Mathew and Mitchell now.
The days began to slow, filled to the brim with concentrated preparation within the valley base. Ash, Dakata, Dylan, and Mikey were hard at work trying to plan out defenses for their sanctuary in case of an attack. Setsuna had been slowly leaving them be, no longer hanging around as much. Ash took it upon himself to trace a path directly toward those who had betrayed his faction. And possibly he could recover their stolen resources and valuables that had been long gone for weeks. He began his search by revisiting the first wall base. No clues were found. Next, he searched Monkeyville and spawn. However, there were no clues to be found there either. Ash had been slowly losing faith in finding the stolen resources and remembered that he had been slipped information at some point about it being 7000 blocks away from.. somewhere. He assumed this distance to possibly be from spawn.
Days and days of traveling took place. Alone and heavily unprepared for an engagement by any thieves he might run into. Though he continued onward. Entering an icy wasteland, a mountain with some structure atop came into view in the distance. The sight of any sign of the opposing faction was like a breath of fresh air to Ash. And this breath became much more than just a small gasp when he had quietly investigated, finding Mathew entering a hidden door to an underground facility with a keycard for entry.
Scrambling back to the valley, Ash very hastily gathered some supplies to take on his journey back to the compound he had found, simultaneously scribbling down the coordinates and marking his map on where to find it so that the rest of the faction would be able to write it down as well. However, Ash kept this information to himself for the time being so he could first investigate and scope out the severity of the situation. Waiting until nobody was home, he got inside the hidden base through a hole in the entrance wall he had dug and quickly filled back in once inside. The place was enormous. A monstrous staircase was found right alongside the entrance to the facility, the walls were lined with chests from top to bottom, and there were many doorways up and down this pit-like central room. Ash had taken a moment to simply take in how large this place was. It was the largest structure he had laid eyes on up until this point, and he hadn't even explored it yet. However, he convinced himself to snap out of this shocking trance and began to descend the staircase, entering every room to take note of what was inside. Marking down as much as he could about each chest and what it had contained, and managed to find a room with a display case. It looked like it contained some sort of egg inside of it and a strange, orange-colored block with flashing lights in the center. At first, he went to smash the glass and steal it in an attempt to send a message to those who would cross Ash and his faction, but decided against it. It was far too risky, and he hadn't known if Setsuna was a resident of this place, or if he would also be imprisoned for this act.
Descending further and further within, Ash had gotten confirmation that Setsuna was a part of the base due to the elevator and the dark, gloomily themed room deep beneath the complex. Ash had explored it briefly, but only to see what it had held due to how unsettling it had been. He discovered an entire farm that was automatically harvesting and transporting pumpkins and melons, villagers housed beneath this farm to sell to, and an entire automated iron farm. This horrified Ash at the thought of what it could be used for, quickly jumped to the conclusion that it was more than likely for power and resources to use against others, or even to take hold of the world itself. He soon returned home with no items to be retrieved from the base, having never found the stolen resources. But this was not the only thing on his mind upon leaving for home.
Evenings passed since Ash had arrived back home. He was stumped. He did not know what to do. He knew that he should inform the others about the discoveries he had made, but he didn't know how to bring it up. Although he pushed himself to do so anyway, and told both Dylan and Dakata about the base he had found and what it had held. They all agreed that this was a threat to their safety and that something had to be done about it, but nobody knew what exactly to do. A few short days later, Mitchell had arrived at their base, sent by Setsuna. The safety that was already partly shattered was now entirely gone, leaving the whole faction's illusion of security in shambles.
After Mitchell had gone, Ash, Dakata, Dylan, and Mikey had taken as much of their valuables and resources as possible, and hid them nearby the base in case of an emergency. They were no longer in a position to stay there and had to do something fast. Dakata had been given some mysterious books by unknown causes, and Ash overheard him reading them aloud previously. But he paid no attention to them. And then something lucky for the Wall Base faction had happened. Mitchell, Mason, and Mathew had betrayed Setsuna and took the dragon egg and the "Command Block" for themselves, fleeing off to an unknown direction. This act of betrayal caused Ash and the rest of the faction to spring into action and start preparing for war.
Ash would spend the next few hours after Mitchell, Mason, and Mathew had fled trying to track them down, picking up on evidence of their whereabouts. Ash would then trace the imagery with the position of the sun and their directions, eventually tracing them down once and for all. Little did any of them know that there would be blood spilled within this new hideout that was housing valuable loot in one of the most remote places in the world.
Gearing up with a massive load of explosives and with multiple countermeasures if things turned south, Ash asked Dakata to join him and started the nearly 60,000-block journey toward this new temple location. It would only take a few short hours before they arrived, scoping the place out before entering. The only person home was Mathew it had appeared. This unfinished structure was massive in size, the pathway leading toward the top of it was enormous alone, with a staircase that scaled the cliff that the cobblestone temple lay, sheltered by the jungle surrounding to the North and by the elevation changes to the opposite direction. Ash and Dakata would soon dig their way inside this place and find themselves within the underground portion, being hollowed out with only villagers and maybe a couple of livestock animals to inhabit it. They both would murder the villagers on sight, leaving none alive in their path of chaos whilst demolishing and ripping up anything they could find. Then, both of them would begin to ascend the water elevator near the center of the temple's compound.
Unweary of the visitors who had invited themselves in, Mathew seemed relatively calm. Ash assumed that he didn't suspect anything to be wrong due to it having been mere hours since they took off from their previous base. It had, in fact, only been a couple of hours since then. But these thoughts did not last long before Ash and Dakata were practically breathing down Mathew's neck, ready to strike and take him out as swiftly as possible. The first blow hit Mathew's armor, immediately sending him into a panic, and flinging around to defend himself while being repeatedly stabbed and bashed across his entire body. It didn't take long to overwhelm him, and both Ash and Dakata smothered his body in obsidian and as much lava as they could pour over him, encasing and trapping him within. Still alive and very much in danger if he were to break out of this mold, forced to listen to Ash blow open the sides of the temple with as many charges of explosives as he had in his pockets and that he had taken with him. Killing all of the Axolotl that were inside of the base and smashing everything in sight, including all of the plant life and chest stashes. Nothing was left undamaged by this point. The stolen and hidden valuable items were never found in this raid, and left Ash and Dakata ready for more, wanting to show the others who may have hidden them still what happens to traitors. However, this left even Setsuna angered by the news of the temple being demolished and completely reduced to rubble. Seemingly everybody had gone into hiding after this event, and everybody who had a home went home worried of what the world would become next.
Dark and gloomy days followed the extermination of Mathew, Mitchell, and Mason's reign of thievery. It had forced many to cease showing their face again for the longest time, especially fellow base members who had been quiet. Despite the flourishing life that the world still contained, it was tailed by a creeping sense of emptiness from the destruction caused and the harm that each person had to endure in one way or another. Nowhere felt safe. That was for certain.
With one thing left on his mind to accomplish, Ash etched a path in his map and mind toward the wall-base factions' valuable stash. He thought about what he would do to keep these possessions safe from greedy individuals but hadn't found an answer. Moving heavy piles of the loot across the barren wastes of the world the entire 40 kilometers back and forth repeatedly was tiring and took days. Nevertheless, it was finished and moved near spawn on a secluded island with birch trees scattered across it. Ash had tasted the water in the river alongside this island and found a cave entrance down below that led into a deeper cave complex. It was completely there for him to move into, alongside all of the valuables. Taking more time just to transport the loot into this deep cave system was a hassle, but it was well worth the effort. It was close enough to the spawn region to not be suspected, and Ash could finally have a spot to relax and safely hide from the others if they decided to seek and enact revenge.
