Introduction

Welcome to our OER on AI and the Future of Education. In this project, we focus on giving an overview of where AI is currently, how it is affecting the field of Education and where it is headed. Together, we will explore AI's capacity to mould our world and seek to answer the question: How will we, as educators, respond to these innovations?

Project Team

Sage Capogreco is in her forth semester of the MET program. She is a consultant at IIEP-UNESCO assisting the Training and Education Programme Unit in the development of courses on the Moodle e-learning platform. Sage has previous experience working with the ITC-ILO on e-Learning design and “gamification” projects to facilitate online learning and promote innovative learning methodologies. She received her undergraduate degree in History at the University of Ottawa.

Seime Adhémar is a French immersion teacher in Abbotsford, British Columbia. He teaches in a paperless classroom where all assignments are posted and handed in online. He has backgrounds in international studies, business administration, education and French linguistics from the University of British Columbia and Simon Fraser University. ETEC 524 is his 7th course in the MET program.

Safa Abu Sa has experience at the high school level and aspires to expand her expertise in adult and higher education. Her background is in English language and literature. She has also worked in ESL in multicultural institutions in the Middle East. Through the MET, Safa is exploring multiple career paths in educational technology.
