Common associations with Air Traffic Controllers
Some would associate air marshallers as people involved in air traffic control. In fact, this type of personnel only guides planes when they park after landing or after push back when preparing to take off.
Some would often think about air traffic controllers just working in a tower from an airport. If you did, you're absolutely right, but this is just one type of air traffic controller.
Why is Air Traffic Control important?
Air Traffic Control (ATC) is an integral part of the aviation industry. It is primarily responsible for 2 main things below.
Without ATC, people and goods could not be safely moved around the world. Air traffic controllers follow a set of regulations in order to avoid major collisions on the air and within airports.
Air navigation service providers around the world ensure aircraft separation and expeditiously control air traffic within airport boundaries and beyond. Without them, our “air highways” would be in total chaos.
