WHMIS for Employees

WHMIS is an information system designed to help workers know more about safety and health hazards of the materials in the workplace. WHMIS is also a broad plan for providing information on the hazardless use of dangerous materials used in various Canadian workplaces. Information is supplied utilizing product labels, safety data sheets (SDS), and workers' education/training programs.

To be qualified to work at these workplaces, you should familiarize yourself with the information you would find on a WHMIS label, how to read the label, and the application of it.
