A little about the journey:
Elizabeth (Liz) Tindall is a local artist from a small town in Michigan. She works primarily with watercolor, striving to promote body positivity and mental health support. Liz started her journey with art at a young age, drawing in notebooks and journals any chance she got. Throughout school, her favorite subject was art. Despite being discouraged by her art teacher in fourth and fifth grade, Liz kept being creative in any way she could.
Once she reached high school, Liz’s art skills started to blossom and her teacher validated her potential. However, after high school, she decided to pursue the safer alternative of a marketing degree. She finished her bachelor's degree in marketing in May of 2023 and, though her degree comes in handy, has instead decided to pursue what she truly loves: art.
A little more personal:
Aside from my day job as an assistant librarian and my passion for art, I always love to share about my relationship. My partner and I have been together since January of 2016. We met in second grade, where we became besties. Except it wasn't really acceptable to say that we were best friends, because boy + girl = dating. So, we came up with a little scheme to tell everyone we were cousins. It was such a small town that pretty much everyone was related in some way, so the lie worked. I had always had a crush on him, though.
I love the fact that I get to be with my best friend. It blows my mind that we are both artists and have amazing opportunities to showcase our growth, often together. He can often be seen with me at booths and such, and we even share a business card!
