Teaming up with Engineers Without Borders (EWB), our club conducted a waste audit at Thornborough, UofG's Engineering building. The findings were eye-opening - 42% of the waste in blue bins wasn't recyclable, and a significant chunk was single-use wax-lined coffee cups. To tackle this, we introduced Mugshare, an initiative promoting reusable mugs at Thornborough's Tim Hortons.
Campus-Wide Transformation
Your choice of a reusable mug matters. In Thornborough and beyond, we're championing a shift towards sustainability. Be part of the Mugshare project and contribute to a greener, waste-conscious campus.
Join us as we pioneer an automated hydroponics system, growing top-quality produce with minimal inputs. Exciting news - we have acquired a campus greenhouse and partnered with the University to fully supply lettuce to the University Centre and Creelman Hall. That's a lot of lettuce heads!
Growing Sustainability
This collaboration not only supports the Guelph Student Food Bank but also revolutionizes campus sustainability. Be part of our mission to reduce our environmental footprint and contribute to a more sustainable, compassionate future.
Support Us, Grow with Us
Invest in cutting-edge agriculture technology and community well-being. Help us make a difference, one lettuce head at a time.
Step into the fun world of ESW's arcade-style boxes, featuring games like Pinball and Plinko, all powered by aluminum pop tabs. Here's the twist - every pop tab you drop goes to the Royal Canadian Legion. They turn these tabs into funds to buy accessibility products for those who need them.
It's Not Just a Game!
Look for our collection boxes across Campus. It's not just about games; it's about making a positive impact, and every pop tab you deposit helps us get closer to that goal.
Join us in the Polyformer project, where discarded water bottles take on a new life as high-quality 3D printer filament. It's more than recycling; it's about reshaping the future of plastic waste.
Wheelchairs for Disabled Dogs
Looking ahead, one of our visionary projects involves using Polyformer's 3D printer filament to craft wheelchairs for disabled dogs. Join us in this innovative venture, where technology meets compassion in creating a more inclusive world.
