Bio

Esubalew Alemneh earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Université Bourgogne-Franche-Comté , France, in 2019. He obtained his MSc in Computer Science, specializing in Software Engineering, from University Putra Malaysia in 2009, and completed his BSc in Computer Science at Addis Abeba University, Ethiopia,in  2005 

Esubalew has over 17 years of experience in teaching, research, system development and administrative positions. From August 2005 to June 2007 he was Graduate Assistant, from June 2009 to May 2017 he was Lecturer, and from May 2014 to to-date he is working as Assistance Professor in Bahir Dar University, Ethiopia. During these periods he participated in various research works and offered various undergraduate and graduate courses. He served as Director of Technology Teaching-Learning Process at ICT Directorate, Bahir Dar University and as Course Chair Holder at System Development Course Chair of Faculty of Computing, Bahir Dar Institute of Technology, Bahir Dar University. Currently, he is serving as Director of ICT4D Research Center in the same institute.

Esubalew has extensive experience in software development and consultancy. He has contributed to the design and development of numerous web-based applications and dynamic websites. Some of the projects he has worked on include: (i) Lease Holding Information Management System for the Ministry of Urban Development, Housing, and Construction, Federal Integrated Urban Land Information Project Office, (ii) Integrated Market Information System for the Amhara National Regional State Trade Bureau, (iii) Local Economic Development Information Management System for Bahir Dar City Administration, and (iv) Property Administration System for Bahir Dar University. Additionally, he has provided consultancy for the development of an Enterprise Resource Planning system for Amhara Water Works Construction Enterprise. 

He has published research papers in a number reputable journals and conferences and has served as invited reviewer for various journals and conferences (IEEE Access, CCNC, ICT-DM, IEEE ICC, ICAST, ICT4DA, ...).
