This Privacy Policy explains how Localized Pricing Manager ("the App", "we", "us", or "our"), created and maintained by Ertuğrul Sarı, approaches data privacy for our macOS application and associated backend infrastructure.
By downloading and using the App, you consent to the data practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not use the App.
The Localized Pricing Manager is designed with a privacy-first architecture. Your core application data is stored entirely locally on your macOS device.
While we do operate backend servers to facilitate necessary features (such as processing data integrations, delivering pricing indices, or checking subscription status), our servers are stateless regarding your user data. They process requests in real-time but do not persistently store your catalogs, credentials, or pricing strategies.
Because of our localized storage approach, the following data is never persistently collected, stored, or viewable by our backend servers:
No Accounts or Identities: The App does not require registration. We do not collect your name, email address, physical address, or password to use the core functionality of the App.
No Product Data Storage: We do not persistently store or monitor your product listings, names, categories, or identifiers on our infrastructure. Any data sent to our servers for processing is handled ephemerally.
No Pricing Strategy Storage: Your pricing rules, historical price data, currency conversions, and margins remain strictly localized to your hard drive.
No API Keys or Credentials Storage: If you enter API keys (e.g., App Store Connect API keys) into the App, those keys are stored securely on your local machine (e.g., via the macOS Keychain). When those keys are used to authenticate requests, all network traffic occurs directly between your macOS device and Apple's servers. We never intercept, log, or route your API keys through our backend infrastructure.
To provide a fully functioning application, our backend servers must temporarily process certain requests:
Processing Data Requests: When the App requests data (like a pricing index update) or needs to format data for an integration, it may send a payload to our servers. Our servers process the payload and return the result to your local device, without storing the contents of the request.
Server Logs: Like all modern web infrastructure, our servers automatically log basic, non-identifying connection data for security and performance monitoring. This includes IP addresses, request timestamps, and basic machine headers. This data is routinely purged and cannot be used to identify you or view your catalogs.
Certain automated processing relies on trusted third-party services:
4.1. Apple App Store Telemetry
If you choose to opt-in to share App Analytics with developers through your macOS settings, Apple may provide us with anonymized, aggregated telemetry data. This data helps us understand general crash rates and broad usage metrics. This telemetry is governed entirely by Apple's Privacy Policy and cannot be tied back to your identity or specific product data.
4.2. Payment Processing (RevenueCat / Apple)
If you choose to purchase premium features or subscriptions via the App, the transaction is handled securely by the Mac App Store and our subscription management provider, RevenueCat.
We never see or store your raw credit card information or billing address.
Our app uses RevenueCat to validate your purchase status anonymously and unlock premium features locally. You can review RevenueCat's privacy practices at https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy.
4.3. Third-Party APIs
If the App utilizes external APIs (such as OpenAI for content processing), data necessary to fulfill the prompt is sent to those providers. That data processing is subject to their respective privacy agreements, and we ensure it is only used to fulfill the immediate request.
We rely heavily on robust security mechanisms both locally and in transit:
Encryption in Transit: All communication between your macOS application and our backend servers (or third-party APIs) is encrypted using industry-standard TLS/SSL protocols.
Local Sandboxing: The App operates within Apple’s strict macOS application sandbox, restricting its access to the rest of your system.
Keychain Integration: Sensitive credentials (like App Store Connect API keys) are offloaded to Apple’s highly secure, encrypted Keychain access system on your local machine.
Because your data lives natively on your device, you are the primary custodian of its rest security. We strongly recommend implementing standard macOS security practices, such as requiring a password upon login and utilizing FileVault disk encryption.
There are no central user databases for us to delete your data from, as your data resides only with you.
Active Use: Your product catalogs and parameters are stored locally in the App’s application support directories on your hard drive.
To Erase Your Data: If you wish to delete your data, you simply need to uninstall the Localized Pricing Manager App from your Mac and manually delete the App's associated container files in your macOS Library directories.
Depending on your jurisdiction (e.g., GDPR in the EU, CCPA in California), you are granted specific rights regarding your personal data.
Because we do not persistently collect or store your personal identity, product data, or email address on our servers, there is no centralized data repository for us to export, correct, or delete upon request. Your data sovereignty is guaranteed by the localized nature of the storage. If you wish to exercise data rights regarding purchases or anonymized crash reporting, those requests must be routed through your Apple ID settings, as Apple is the entity managing that data pipeline.
The Localized Pricing Manager App is a business toolkit intended for professionals. The Services are not directed to anyone under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13.
We reserve the right to update or modify our Privacy Policy at any time. We will provide notice of modifications by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document.
You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
