This Privacy Policy describes how Ertuğrul Sarı ("we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, and handles information when you use Frequency Analyzer (the "App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.
The App is developed and operated by Ertuğrul Sarı, an independent developer. For any privacy-related questions, contact us at estifieapps@gmail.com.
We built this App with privacy in mind. Here is the short version:
We do not have user accounts or authentication systems.
We do not collect, sell, rent, or share your personal data with advertisers or data brokers.
We do not use any third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDKs.
We do not use any AI features or send your data to AI providers.
Microphone audio is processed entirely on your device and never leaves it.
Your audio recordings, video recordings, session data, and calibration are stored only on your device.
Subscription management is handled by RevenueCat.
When you use the App, you may configure preferences such as your default weighting filter (A, C, Z, or linear), FFT window size and shape, sample rate, color scheme, spectrogram colormap, default measurement standard (NIOSH, OSHA, or a custom standard you define), and audio format for recordings. You may also save calibration values, including the reference SPL offset that maps the App's readings to a known sound level.
When you record a session, the App stores the audio (or audio plus video) file along with session metadata: title, duration, peak and average sound levels, time-weighted average, and any event markers or notes you add during the session. All of this data lives on your device and is never uploaded to our servers.
The App captures microphone audio to perform live spectrum analysis, sound level metering, and noise dosimetry. By default, the audio stream is processed in memory and discarded continuously. When you tap the record button, audio is written to a local file on your device in the format you have selected. We do not transmit microphone audio off the device for any reason.
If you choose to record video with a live audio-analysis overlay, the App accesses the camera and writes the resulting MP4 file to local storage on your device. Camera video is never uploaded.
If you choose to save a recorded video to your Photos library so you can share it outside the App, the App writes the MP4 to the Photos library you have authorized. The App does not read your existing photos or videos.
The App does not collect device identifiers, advertising identifiers, behavioral analytics, crash reports, or browsing history.
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any contact information. We do not collect payment card details. All payments are processed exclusively by Apple. We do not collect audio uploaded to any server. We do not use cookies.
Your on-device preferences, calibration values, and saved sessions are used solely to power your personal measurement and analysis experience inside the App. Microphone audio is used in real time to compute sound pressure levels, frequency spectra, spectrograms, octave-band readings, waveforms, and noise dose. Stored recordings are used for your own playback, statistics, and export.
Your RevenueCat subscriber identifier is used only to determine whether you have an active premium entitlement, which unlocks certain features of the App.
Notification reminders, where present, are scheduled locally on your device. We do not have access to your notification preferences.
We do not sell, trade, or rent your information to anyone. We share data only in the following circumstances.
Apple (App Store): When you purchase a subscription or other in-app purchase, Apple processes the payment. We never receive your payment information. Apple's Privacy Policy applies: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/
RevenueCat: RevenueCat manages your in-app subscription. It receives a pseudonymous app user ID, your purchase receipt from Apple, and your entitlement status. It does not receive any audio, video, or session data from the App. RevenueCat Privacy Policy: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy
Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or valid legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Ertuğrul Sarı, our users, or the public.
Your audio recordings, video recordings, session metadata, event markers, notes, calibration values, and preferences are stored on your device and persist until you delete the recording inside the App, delete a preference, or uninstall the App. Subscription state is stored on RevenueCat's servers per their retention policy. The App does not maintain any user database on our own servers.
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13, or under 16 in the European Economic Area. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the App, please contact us at estifieapps@gmail.com and we will take appropriate steps.
Because we do not maintain a user account database, nearly all of your data resides on your device, which you control directly. To delete every recording, video, calibration, preference, and saved session, uninstall the App.
To revoke microphone access, open Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone → Frequency Analyzer and turn off the toggle.
To revoke camera access, open Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera → Frequency Analyzer and turn off the toggle.
To revoke Photos library access, open Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos → Frequency Analyzer and choose None.
To disable notifications, open Settings → Notifications → Frequency Analyzer and turn off Allow Notifications.
If you are a resident of the European Economic Area, you have rights to access, correct, or erase personal data we hold, as well as rights to data portability and to object to processing. Because almost all data is stored on your own device, most of these rights can be exercised directly. For any remaining requests, contact us at estifieapps@gmail.com.
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and to request its deletion. We do not sell personal information. Contact us at estifieapps@gmail.com for any requests.
If you are a resident of Turkey, you have rights under the Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK) to access, correct, or erase personal data. Contact us at estifieapps@gmail.com.
All communications between the App and RevenueCat are protected using HTTPS/TLS encryption. Data stored on your device is protected by iOS device encryption. However, no method of data transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. We disclaim liability for any unauthorized access to data transmitted to RevenueCat or stored on your device.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document and, where appropriate, through a notice in the App or the App Store listing. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
