Essich Road Development

The Highland Council is planning to allow Tulloch Homes to build 400 houses on fields about 1km up Essich Road from the roundabout.

* at least 650 extra cars using the single-track road * 

more congestion on the Southern Distributor and  Stratherrick/Essich roundabout danger for pedestrians and cyclists - especially kids travelling to school  

*degeneration of the city’s rural hinterland into suburban sprawl* 

the Council says this will ‘unlock’ further development south – starting with another 300 homes in the next fields where will it stop? Dores?

*increased flood risk in an area that already floods*
