Get Involved
One of the most important ways you can help is by simply attending talks/posters and encouraging all students to participate and cheer on their peers! We also greatly appreciate you spreading the word! Please feel free to send the below flyer to anyone you think might be interested in attending the Gala and learning more about what our amazing students and postdocs are up to!
Donations
The ESS Research Gala depends on the generous donations of faculty, staff, alumni, and other community members to fund student awards and make the event as successful as possible. Last year, ESS community members donated on average $150, and over $2000 was raised by donations! The ESS Department will match all donations**, increasing your impact on this event and our students!
Donations are made to the "Friends of Earth and Space Sciences" fund. If you make a gift, please note that the donation is specifically for the "ESS Research Gala", and email our Department Administrator, Scott Dakins (he/him), at sjdakins@uw.edu to let him know about your contribution and whether or not you'd like to be acknowledged as a donor or remain anonymous.
