The University of South Florida Botanical Gardens offer a variety of opportunities:

Propagation: Volunteer to propagate for the Plant Shop. Primarily taking cuttings, planting seed, potting up cuttings and repotting older established plants. 1-4 days per week; 2-4 hours per day. No tools required. No previous experience. We will train.

Event Coverage: We have many positions available during events such as Front Gate, Holding Area, Children's Area, Cart Driver, as well as set up and take down. HELP is always appreciated.

Specific Garden: Help us maintain and upgrade our various exhibits.

Native Plant Beds. Carnivorous Beds. Palms. Shade Garden. Front Entrance. Fairy and Dinosaur Garden. Herb Garden. Medicinal Garden. Rose Garden.

Fruit Tree Curator: Volunteer with knowledge of tropical fruit trees and willingness to fertilize, weed and trim in the orchard.

Educational and Garden Docents: Volunteer to assist in the design, testing and evaluation of educational programs for the Garden Field Trip Program. Docents to lead tours for groups through the Gardens.

Assistants to curators: Learn about specific plants by working with our curators. Must work at least 2 hours per week.
