Privacy Policy — EssentialTools
Last updated: 27 August 2026
EssentialTools -All in One Kit (package com.essential.tools) is developed by Habib. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with information. It is short because the app collects nothing.
The short version
EssentialTools does not collect, store, or share any personal data. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind.
What stays on your device
Some tools save what you type so it is still there next time you open them:
Scratchpad — the note you write
Checklist — your tasks
Habit Counter — your counters
Favourites, recent tools and theme choice
Currency rates — the most recent exchange-rate table, cached so the converter works offline
All of this is written to the app's private storage on your device. It is never sent anywhere. Uninstalling the app deletes it.
Network use
Two tools, and only these two, use the internet. Both say so on screen before you use them:
Tool
What it contacts
What is sent
Currency
open.er-api.com
Nothing about you. A request for the public exchange-rate table.
Speed Test
speed.cloudflare.com
Nothing about you. It downloads a block of test data to measure your connection speed.
Neither request includes any identifier, account, or content from the app. Those services will see your IP address, as any website would. Their own policies apply to that: er-api.com and Cloudflare.
Every other tool works with no connection at all.
Photos, files and PDFs
The image and PDF tools use Android's own system picker. The app receives only the one file you choose, uses it to do the job you asked for, and never uploads it. Saving goes through Android's file picker, so you choose where the result is written. The app has no storage permission and cannot see your other files.
Permissions
The app declares three permissions. All three are "normal" permissions, which means Android grants them at install and never shows you a prompt:
Vibrate — timer alerts and the bubble level
Internet and Network state — the two tools listed above
There are no runtime permissions. In particular the app does not request camera, location, contacts, microphone, or storage access. The flashlight works through Android's torch control, which needs no camera permission.
Children
The app is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be published at this address and the date at the top will change.
