I am a Postdoctoral Researcher at Brandeis University, working with Dr. Margie Lachman. Previously, I was a Postdoctoral Researcher at Sabanci University, Turkey, where I worked with Dr. Gul Gunaydin and Dr. Emre Selcuk. I received my Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, where I worked with Dr. Robin Edelstein and Dr. Amie Gordon.
Broadly, I am interested in how everyday social interactions, from close relationships to brief encounters with strangers, influence health and well-being. More recently, I have been examining how these processes unfold across cultures and throughout the lifespan.
Below are some examples of my latest research. See here for more.
