Privacy Policy for Espresso Journal
Effective date: 30.04.2026
Espresso Journal is designed to help users log coffee beans, espresso shots, machine settings, and maintenance information. We value your privacy and aim to keep data handling as simple as possible.
Data storage
Espresso Journal stores your app data locally on your device. This may include information such as coffee beans, shot logs, recipes, machine settings, and maintenance records. We do not store this data on our own servers or in our own cloud systems.
No cloud account
Espresso Journal does not require you to create an account to use the core app. We do not maintain a user database for your personal coffee logs.
Data deletion
Because your data is stored locally on your device, deleting the app removes the app and its locally stored data from your device. We do not retain copies of that data on our servers. The practical effect of deletion is different from server-based apps, where data may remain after uninstall; in your case, your statement is accurate because you are not keeping server-side copies.
Payments
If Espresso Journal offers paid features, subscriptions, or in-app purchases, payment transactions are processed by Apple through Apple’s own in-app purchase system. We do not receive or store your full payment card details. Apple states that payment information for App Store purchases is handled through Apple’s systems, and developers generally do not need to declare Apple-collected in-app purchase payment information as app-collected data.
Third parties
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your coffee logs, recipes, or machine settings for advertising.
