Espanol Easy ("we", "our", or "us"), developed by Dev Lev, is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our mobile application, Espanol Easy.

1. Information We Collect

Espanol Easy is designed to work primarily on your device. We collect minimal data to provide the best learning experience:

Learning Progress — Your XP, streaks, completed lessons, and level are stored locally on your device only.
User Preferences — Settings such as notification preferences and selected difficulty level are stored locally on your device.
Voice Input — When you use the Speak feature, your voice is processed by your device's built-in speech recognition. We do not record or store audio.
Device Information — Basic device data (OS version, device model) may be collected for crash reporting purposes only.

We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, location, payment details, or any personally identifiable information.

2. How We Use Your Data

Any data we collect is used solely to improve your experience:

To remember your progress, streak, and level across sessions.
To diagnose crashes and fix bugs so the app runs smoothly.
To improve app content using anonymized, aggregated usage patterns.

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or selling to third parties — ever.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your learning data is stored locally on your device using Android's secure SharedPreferences storage. It is not uploaded to any external server. No account is required to use the app. Uninstalling the app permanently deletes all associated data.

4. Third-Party Services

Espanol Easy uses the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policy:

Android Text-to-Speech — Provided by Google, used to pronounce Spanish words.
Android Speech Recognition — Used for the Speak practice feature. Audio is processed on-device or via Google's speech API depending on your device settings.
Google Play Services — Used for app distribution and crash reporting.

We do not integrate any advertising SDKs, social media trackers, or analytics platforms that collect personal data.

5. Children's Privacy

Espanol Easy is suitable for users of all ages, including children under 13. Because we do not collect personal information, we comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). No personal data from children is knowingly collected or stored.

6. Your Rights

You are in full control of your data at all times:

Access — All your data is visible directly within the app.
Deletion — Uninstalling the app permanently deletes all locally stored data. You can also reset your progress from within the app settings.
Opt-out — You may disable microphone and speech recognition permissions at any time via your device settings without affecting core app functionality.

7. Permissions

Espanol Easy requests only the permissions it needs:

RECORD_AUDIO — Required for the Speak practice feature. Only active when you tap the microphone button. Never recorded or stored.
INTERNET — Used for Text-to-Speech and Speech Recognition services.
VIBRATE — Used for haptic feedback on correct and incorrect answers.

All permissions can be revoked at any time via Android Settings → Apps → Espanol Easy → Permissions.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted with an updated effective date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
