For this “Español en mi Vida” project, you continue your exploration of Spanish-speaking cultures and make connections to them in your life and community. You practice your language skills by researching a topic, developing a presentation, and delivering it to the class. The purpose of this project is to help develop your language skills and cultural knowledge while fostering lifelong connections to the Spanish language and the communities that speak it.
For this project, you have 2 options:
1. Option 1: You explore a Hispanic/Latinx community organization, event, or connection to your major/career/interests and create a presentation about it using your language skills.
AND/OR
2. Option 2: You complete a personal interview with a Spanish speaker or member of the Hispanic or Latinx community about themes from this class, including language and cultural products, practices, and perspectives. This could be a friend, family member, co-worker, teacher, tutor or anyone else you know who is willing to share their language and culture with you. Then, you practice your language skills and share what you learned in a presentation.
