About

I am a Spanish language learner myself and learned Spanish while living in Tegucigalpa, Honduras and traveling to Spain, Mexico, Puerto Rico, The Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, and Guatemala. I continue to learn by taking classes, talking with friends and family, and reading books.

I graduated from Geneva College with degrees in Elementary and Special Education. I obtained my Master’s degree from Southern Connecticut State University in TESOL, Bilingual, and Multicultural education. I have been teaching Spanish and bilingual education since 2001 in a variety of places including Honduras, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, and now Ann Arbor, Michigan.

When I’m not at school I enjoy reading, cooking, and traveling. My husband and I also enjoy exploring the world around us by hiking, biking, and kayaking.
