This Privacy Policy explains how the mobile application “এসো জার্মান শিখি” (the “App”) handles information. The App helps users learn German through quizzes. The App is primarily in Bengali. We designed it to collect minimal data. We do not ask users to create accounts and we do not collect personally identifiable information (PII) directly from users.
By installing or using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
No direct user data collected. We do not ask for names, phone numbers, emails, photos, contacts, or location.
No analytics by the developer. We do not run our own analytics services.
The App shows advertising using Google AdMob. AdMob (a Google service) and related Google mobile SDKs may automatically collect certain information to serve and measure ads. This can include:
Device information (e.g., device/advertising identifiers, IP address, app version, OS version, device model).
General location (approximate, derived from IP).
Ad data (ad impressions, clicks, performance, crash reports, diagnostics).
Usage data (how the app and ads are interacted with).
These data are processed under Google’s own privacy policies and may be used for personalized or non-personalized ads depending on your settings and consent (where required). Google may also combine data across its services consistent with its policies.
Third-party providers used in the App
Google AdMob (Ads)
Google Play services (to deliver core Android functionality)
(Optional/As applicable) Google Play Install Referrer (for install attribution only; we do not receive personal data)
You can review Google’s policies and ad technology provider information in Google’s Privacy & Terms pages and AdMob/Ads documentation.
Where AdMob processes personal data, the legal bases may include:
Consent (for personalized advertising and cookies/identifiers, where required by law).
Legitimate interests (for fraud prevention, frequency capping, aggregated reporting, and service security).
If consent is required in your region, the App or the ad SDK will request it. You can withdraw consent at any time via your device ad settings (see Section 10).
Third-party SDKs (primarily AdMob) use the information to:
Serve ads (personalized or non-personalized).
Limit ad frequency, fight fraud/abuse, and measure performance.
Improve ad networks and SDK reliability.
The developer does not use your data for any other purposes.
Data collected by AdMob/Google may be shared within the Google group, with certified ad technology partners, and with advertisers, consistent with Google’s policies.
Such data may be processed on servers located outside your country, including the United States or the European Economic Area. Google relies on appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers as described in its policies.
The developer does not sell users’ personal information.
The developer does not store personal data.
Third-party services (e.g., Google AdMob) retain data for as long as necessary for the purposes described in their policies (ad delivery, reporting, fraud prevention, and legal compliance).
The App content is suitable for general audiences interested in language learning. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information via third-party services, please contact us (see Section 14) and/or manage consent/ad settings on the device. If you are a parent/guardian, you can use device-level controls (such as Google Family Link) to manage a child’s ad settings and app use.
If we become aware that we have inadvertently received personal data from a child, we will take steps to delete such information where feasible.
The App may request common Android permissions required for basic functionality and ads, such as:
INTERNET / ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE – to load content and ads.
(If used) BIND_GET_INSTALL_REFERRER_SERVICE – to allow Google Play to provide install attribution data to the app’s SDKs.
We do not request permissions for contacts, camera, microphone, SMS, or precise location.
You can control how ads are personalized:
Device settings (Android): Settings → Privacy → Ads → toggle “Delete advertising ID” or “Opt out of Ads Personalization” (wording may vary by Android version).
Google Ad Settings: Manage ad personalization across Google services (where available).
Consent prompts: In regions requiring consent (e.g., EEA/UK), you can choose non-personalized ads or withdraw consent later (usually via the app’s privacy/ad settings if presented by the SDK).
Choosing non-personalized ads reduces tracking for ad personalization but does not remove ads.
Depending on your location, you may have rights such as:
EEA/UK (GDPR): access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, and withdrawal of consent.
California (CCPA/CPRA): right to know, delete, correct, and opt-out of sale/share of personal information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
Requests related to data held by Google/AdMob should be directed to Google via their privacy tools. For questions to the developer, see Section 14.
We aim to use only reputable third-party SDKs (such as Google AdMob). While no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, we take reasonable steps to keep the App updated and to minimize data collection.
The App may display content that links to third-party websites or app store listings. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those services. Please review their privacy policies.
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or the App’s data practices, contact:

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be effective when posted within the App or on the page where this policy is hosted. Your continued use of the App after any changes means you accept the updated policy.
