Microbial Evolution Lab
Welcome to the Microbial Evolution Lab in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology Bombay!
We are a group of biology enthusiasts from diverse backgrounds working in the broad area of evolution. Specifically, we are curious about answering questions related to speciation, adaptation, horizontal gene transfer, and gene duplication & diversification. We use theory and perform experiments using S. cerevisiae to help understand evolutionary processes.
Visit our research page to know more about the problems we are currently working on.
