I care about our planet and its climate, am fascinated by clouds, and appreciate the important role of radiation in these complex systems.
Hence, my research interests include cloud microphysics and turbulent mixing, cloud-aerosols interaction, radiation transfer, and remote sensing.
Broadly interested in the role of clouds in Earth’s energy budget and how it might change with human interventions and climate change. My research combines theoretical and numerical modeling of atmospheric flows and radiation, with analysis of remotely sensed observations using physical principles and radiative transfer models. Particular interest in developing synergies among instruments with diverse observational capabilities.
"I've looked at clouds from both sides now
From up and down and still somehow
It's cloud illusions I recall
I really don't know clouds at all."
