Project Teams

What is the purpose of an ESHIP Goal Project Team?

  • Form an independent team, ideally in collaboration with other community members, to deliver a project to address a specific ESHIP Goal Initiative (think of this as a startup).

  • Establish a project plan with clear roles, and working agreements as a team, and develop as you see fit.

  • Use regular monthly Goal Meetups to stay in sync with other teams. Use those calls to share updates on your work with the community. Ask for help and look for opportunities to “link and leverage” ideas and resources.

  • Use the ESHIP Goal Project Canvas as a simple way to share what you’re working on. Keep it updated on the Community Dashboard.

How to Form a Project Team

  1. Form a team of collaborators who want to work on a project related to one of the ESHIP Goals.
  2. Project Team must be focused on the ESHIP Goals
  3. Complete a Project Canvas and submit it to eshipgoals@gmail.com. That will be uploaded to the ESHIP Goals Community Dashboard so that it is visible to the community. Be open to sharing information with each other to increase visibility across initiatives.
  4. Designate a main point of contact for the project
  5. Designate a representative to attend the monthly Goal Meetup related to your project

Shared Protocol for Project Teams

These are the baseline actions all Project Teams agree to follow on an ongoing basis so that we can make mass collaboration work!

1. Engagement

By becoming a Project Team, your team agrees to have one point person designated to attend a Goal Meetup each month to give a brief 2-3 min update on the status of your project.

2. Visibility & Sharing

By becoming a Project Team, your team agrees to update your Project Canvas on the ESHIP Goals Community Dashboard (link) regularly to share your progress with the community.

Interested in joining an already formed Project Team?

If you are interested in joining an already formed Project Team you will need to contact the team lead to learn if they are open to new team members. Their contact information is listed on the Project Canvas.
