I currently volunteer as a Scribe and Interpreter for RotaCare San Rafael! RotaCare is a volunteer-driven and patient-centered provider of free healthcare for the uninsured and underserved in our community.
In the summer of 2024 and 2026, I was a KPLaunch Intern for Kaiser Permanente Novato and Kaiser Permanente San Rafael. I got to work with my department to ensure patient needs were met over a 7 week-period. I was exposed to many differnent healthcare fields and had amazing shadowing opportunites with various professionals.
For two consecutive years, I served as the Head Tutor Volunteer and Intern for the Homework Help Program at the Marin County Free Library. Every Wednesday we welcomed an onpour of young students who we guided through advice, lessons, and engaging academic activites. This allowed for me to form relationships with different parents in the communities and enhance my communication skills.
I volunteered as a SmileCart Volunteer at the MarinHealth Hospital. I got to meet dozens of patients a day as I offered different amenities from our cart as a chance to engage with those going through a difficult time. Navigating the hospital allowed me to gain crucial patient experience while working with nurses to ensure everyone has their needs met.
