Prof Reinhard Kopiez, former Editor in Chief of Musicae Scientiae discusses 'Getting Published in the field of Music Psychology'. The discussion is moderated by Dr Renee Timmers, current President of ESCOM. Attendance is free.
Reinhard Kopiez (b. 1959) is a trained guitarist and Professor of Music Psychology at the University of Music, Drama and Media of Hannover (Germany). Having graduated in musicology in 1990, he became research assistant to Helga de la Motte-Haber and then obtained his habilitation in 1998. Since 1998 he has been Professor of Music Psychology in Hannover. His research interests are in the fields of musical performance and music and emotions. Reinhard has been vice-president of the European Society for the Cognitive Sciences of Music (ESCOM) and president of the German Society for Music Psychology (DGM). He served for many years as the editor of Musicae Scientiae and is the author of numerous publications of empirical music research.
