Deep in the tropics of South America, you'll find the largest rainforest in the world. The Amazon Rainforest or Amazonia covers 2 million square miles. Most of the rainforest is in Brazil. The Amazon River runs through the rainforest. This is the home to more than half of the world's plants and animals. Their colors are amazing...the red-eyes of tree frogs help them see at night, blue morpho butterflies feed on nectar, green iguanas hide on leaves, and yellow coated jaguars with black rings hunt at night.
