OPEN CALL FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE 42ND INTERNATIONAL PHOTO EXHIBITION (DI42)
The club was established in 1974 and has remained the meeting place of choice for all interested in photography ever since.
Members come together in the pursuit of their joint hobby – irrespective of their skill levels or preexisting knowledge of photography.
We inspire each other, develop ideas and projects and learn from each other. Our activities include excursions, competitions, talks, workshops and courses. Throughout the year (except during the summer vacation), we hold weekly meetings at our facilities that comprise a fully furnished studio, a meeting room, IT and printing equipment and a workplace for mounting images.
The International Exhibition is organized by Esbjerg Fotoklub and is colloquially known as "The International" or simply "DI." Here, renowned photographers from around the world are given the opportunity to exhibit their work alongside the club's own members.
The works are displayed in the gallery on the mezzanine at Esbjerg Central Library. This location is dedicated to showcasing top-tier photographic art. The exhibition typically runs for 6-8 weeks each year, and a free exhibition catalog is published, featuring descriptions of all exhibitors and the displayed works.
