How many stories has Esa Myllylä written? Esa has a massive library consisting of 196 published stories. This includes approximately 100 titles available on Google Play Books and a wide array of stories told through several popular podcasts.
Are there more stories coming to this website? Yes. The goal is to centralize the entire collection here. In addition to the published works, Esa has an archive of over 200 extra stories—some are "vaulted" classics dating as far back as 2010 that are currently being rewritten or refined for a modern audience.
What is the author’s writing philosophy? Esa focuses on both high-volume creativity and quality control. Whether it’s a new project or a story from 2010, every piece undergoes a review process to ensure the narrative and characters are at their best before they are officially "re-released" or published here.
What do the age ratings (8+, 13+, 18+) mean? To help readers find the right content, we use clear categories:
8+: Family-friendly adventures (e.g., Operation Chicken Nugget).
13+: Teen-rated stories with more intensity (e.g., Something Is Listening).
18+: Mature content for adult audiences (e.g., The Unknown Heroes).
Where can I find the 18+ mature stories? To maintain a safe environment for all readers on this site, all 18+ uncensored stories are hosted exclusively on Payhip. You can find the purchase links in the Buy Adult Stories section.
Which podcasts feature these stories? Esa produces several high-engagement series, including:
IVAN: A spy thriller with bi-weekly updates (Wednesday and Sunday).
The Unknown Heroes: A long-form war story spanning nearly 100 chapters.
Something Is Listening: An anime-style mystery series told in seasonal arcs.
PS: These Podcasts will disappear, as the stories will come over to this website!
How successful are these stories? The collection has a proven track record of global appeal, with over 2.1 million reads recorded on Google Play in a 12-month period and a consistent audience of approximately 100,000 monthly readers.
Can I license a story for a project? All works by the author to the present are protected by copyright. For professional inquiries, collaborations, or licensing, please visit the Work With Me page.
How often is the archive updated? With hundreds of stories currently being improved for re-release, the site is updated frequently. Check the News section for the latest additions from the 2010 archive and new podcast episode launches.
What did you do before 2010?
I started my creative journey back in the 1980s when I bought my first computer—an Atari. By 1990, I was programming in STOS BASIC and released five licensed games. Later, I transitioned to PC development, and in 1997 I was nominated for “Best Shareware Game of the Year.”
Alongside programming, I was already writing stories, as I created all the narratives, characters, and content for my games myself. That’s essentially where my storytelling began. In recent years, I’ve also returned to game development while continuing to focus on writing.
