About 

The ESAR immunization Demand TWG on social and behaviour change and demand for immunization contribute to the regional efforts to successfully recover and strengthen Routine immunization (RI) focusing on Zero Dose priority countries, reporting on a regular basis to the regional Coverage & Equity Thematic group that has the responsibility of overall coordination. It aligns at regional level with the work undertaken by the interagency Risk Communication and Community Engagement Technical Working Group.

This site is a channel to support sharing of timely resources, tools, guidance, research and learnings relevant to increasing demand for immunization in the ESA region.

Members

The TWG is led by UNICEF ESARO, with members including WHO, IFRC,  Africa CDC, African Union, World Vision, Save the Children, JSI, Collective Service, AFENET, ORB International, HelpAge International, and Gavi.

Main Objective

• Contribute to promoting demand and uptake of immunization services, focusing on RI recovery and Zero Dose communities.
