Rubicon Partners has officially announced the acquisition of Erodex Graphite Systems Limited from its family owners.

Based in Halesowen, UK, Erodex has built a strong global reputation as a supplier of graphite and brass tube electrodes, EDM consumables, and carbon-based products. These materials play a key role in manufacturing turbine blades and aerofoil components used in aircraft engines and industrial gas turbines. The company operates advanced machine shops in both the UK and the United States, allowing it to handle design, tooling, and production in-house. Erodex is particularly recognized for its high-quality graphite electrodes and brass tubes, which support leading OEMs and Tier 1 manufacturers worldwide.

This acquisition marks Rubicon’s 85th investment within the industrial sector and its second through Rubicon Partners Fund VI SCSp. The firm brings significant experience in aerospace, having previously invested in companies such as Farsound Aviation, Attewell (now part of Avantus Aerospace), and Invotec (now part of Amphenol).

With Rubicon’s backing and the transition following the family shareholders’ retirement, Erodex will now enter a new phase of leadership. James Kirk will take on the role of CEO, moving up from his previous position as Operations Director, while Raj Rainu will continue as CFO. Together with their team, they will focus on expanding Erodex’s international presence and driving the company’s future growth in partnership with Rubicon.
