Full Research Professor at Institute of Interdisciplinary Physics and Complex Systems (IFISC)
My research is directed to understanding the structure and functioning of discrete complex systems at various size scales. My philosophy is that it is more important to understand the organizational principles of such systems on the basis of their connectivity than to understand the role of their individual components. Then, I consider an integration of complex systems through the use of a common representation by means of discrete mathematical objects, dynamical systems and algebraic concepts.
