Short bio

I am currently an Associate Professor (Profesor Permanente Laboral) of Applied Economics in the Department of Economic Structure and Development Economics at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, where I previously served as an Assistant Professor (2019–2024). Additionally, I teach at Syracuse University’s Madrid Campus. 

I maintain active affiliations with the Research Group in Economics and Management of Innovation (UAM-InEGI), where I serve as coordinator of the research group since November 2024  and Instituto de Economía International (Universidad Jaume I). In November 2022, I received accreditation as Profesor Titular de Universidad (equivalent to Senior Lecturer) from the Spanish National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation (ANECA). Since March 2023, I have been serving as Senior Editor for the International Trade Section at the Journal of Applied Economics. I am also member of the editorial board from Humanities and Social Sciences Communications (since March 2026) and  The Economic and Labour Relations Review (since September 2026). From 2023-2027 I am co-PI (second Principal Investigator) of the Research Project "Improving environmental efficiency for more sustainable european regions: New data and empirical evidence" (PID2022-138212NA-I00) , funded by the Spanish Agencia Estatal de Investigación.

• Undergraduate degree in Sociology from Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia (2025).

  • Bachelor thesis: 'Depopulation and Accessibility in Castilla y León: A Sociological and Interdisciplinary Territorial Analysis' graded with 9.0 out of 10 (Sobresaliente, Very Good).

• Master's degree in Secondary School Teacher Training from Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia (2022).
