Erminia Florio

Hi! I'm Erminia Florio, I am a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Tor Vergata University of Rome and Research affiliate at HEC Montréal. I am also an Associate of the Sophia Cooperative - Social Enterprise. Previously, I was a Postdoctoral Fellow at HEC Montréal. I earned my PhD at the University of Rome Tor Vergata (2020) with a thesis titled "Essays in the Economics of Immigration".

My current research focuses on the effect of information provision and narratives on the beliefs and the behavior of youth on migration through randomized experiments in both developed and developing countries, as well as on public procurement.

In my previous research, I have studied the long-run effects of historical emigration on attitudes towards migrants and on firm performance.

Research interests: Applied Microeconomics, Migration, Economics of Education, Development Economics, Public Economics.
