Welcome to my personal web-page
I am an academician and researcher working in the areas of digital technologies in the built environment. I have pursued PhD from the Construction Technology and Management section in the Department of Civil Engineering, Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT) Surat, India. I graduated in Civil Engineering and have a masters degree in Construction Engineering and Management. My doctoral research focuses on developing an artificial intelligence-based automatic visual inspection and maintenance management system for built heritage. In addition to my doctoral research, I have worked on international collaborative research projects funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) of the UK, the Indian Council of Historical Research (ICHR), and the Technical Education Quality Improvement Program (TEQIP) of the Government of India. These funded projects mainly focused on digital technologies for documentation, management, conservation, and promotion of heritage. I have experience with various digital technologies such as laser scanning, photogrammetry, BIM, and virtual reality. My research has resulted in peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations in various national and international conferences, including ARCOM, ASCE, and IDoBE in the UK, USA, Italy, Malaysia, and India. My strength areas in digital technologies for the built environment are Building Information Modelling (BIM), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Virtual Reality (VR). I am open to academic and research collaborations, do contact me at erlukman@gmail.com.
