Brendan Kasko: (Project Director/Founder, Head Researcher, & Head-Developer) - Doing this project has meant a lot to me personally, as I have been a member of Erlton Swim Club my entire life. The Idea came to me when I was sitting next to my Mom, who is a member of the Board of Directors and she had the By-Laws up on her computer screen. I saw the words "Established in 1965" somewhere and thought to myself how I had never really known about the history of Erlton and never knew the story of how the club originated. So that's when I decided to found this project and invite my Collaborators listed below. I could not have asked for a better team or more support from the Erlton Board Of Directors and hope you enjoy the Archive and learn something about Erlton's history!!
Robert DeNinno (Content Editor, Research Assistant & Co-Developer) - Researching the history of Erlton has been a beneficial educational experience. Learning the origins and how the club was formed has granted me a deeper understanding of Erlton's values and how they continue to shape the Erlton community. Being a lifelong member at the club, Erlton has been an important part of my life. I have been very involved with the club's activities, but knew little of the club's history. Therefore, connecting the past to where Erlton is now, has revealed to me the club's sense of resilience, collaboration, and character that still holds true today. I hope this project allows you to learn about the history of the club and learn exactly why Erlton is such a special place.
Olivia Goettner (Content Editor, Research Assistant, & Co-Developer) - Getting to be a part of this project was a very enriching experience and I was so grateful to have contributed to it. Learning about the origins of our club, along with all of its aspects, helped me develop better knowledge of a place I hold close to my heart. I have loved every minute I've spent apart of the Erlton community and participating in the making of this archive led me to have an even greater appreciation for the club. I hope those who look through it can say they've learned more about the club than they previously knew, and that it promotes the greater understanding of the history of Erlton Swim Club.
