K-12 education | LGBTQ+ student well-being | spatial equity | rural schools | quantitative methods | research-to-practice partnerships
Her research meets at the intersection of K-12 education, LGBTQ+ student well-being, and geography. She uses quantitative methods to examine how K-12 educational policies, programs, and practices contribute to spatial inequities in LGBTQ+ student well-being.
Her research interests emerge from her experiences as a rural K-12 educator. Erin taught art, led student and teacher mentoring programs, and served as a local teacher association leader for 5 years at a rural high school in Indiana.
