Bridging the gap between Art and Science.
Welcome to my digital portfolio! My name is Erin Cullen, and I am so happy that you made your way to my site. I have spent the last two years working towards a BS in Geography with an emphasis in Geology at the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater. With this degree, I also am completing a minor in Environmental Studies and a GIS Certificate. Through my education, I have become familiar with ArcMap, ArcCatalogue, ArcGIS Online, and Microsoft Office. While earning this degree during a worldwide pandemic hasn't been easy, I managed to graduate from Whitewater in May of 2021 summa cum laude with a big smile under my mask!!
When I wasn't serving tables for extra cash, most of my time was spent doing spatial analysis or doing independent research. My research has become a big part of my identity. I developed a body of work that looks at the Anthropocene and what "future fossils" will look like in the stratigraphic future. Through my research, I am bridging the gap between art and science to start conversations about the health of our planet.
With a passion to create and a deep love for the environment, I am eager to continue doing my part for the Earth through effective spatial analysis, mindful critical thinking, and efficient problem solving in both independent and group settings.
