Erin Davis

Introduction

Hi, my name is Erin Davis, and I am currently a History Education major at Trinity Christian College. I'm from Fremont, MI; it's a fairly small town, but it's also home to Gerber, which is pretty cool. My only sibling is my sister, Tonya, who is five years and three days older than me. I mention the three days mostly because I've always found it kind of funny that our birthdays are so close together, although sharing a birthday party as kids was a lot less fun.

I've always enjoyed history, mostly due to all the historical sites and museums my family would go to when I was growing up. What really got me interested in the idea of teaching history was a history teacher I had in my sophomore year of high school. As much as I loved history, learning it in class had always been a little boring, but this teacher actually made it interesting and enjoyable. He got me to start thinking about how I could make history more fun and interesting to learn in a classroom setting.
