Hello! My name is Jeff Baker, and my wife Vicki and I are excited to be part of the Erie
community. We both grew up in Southeast Kansas—I'm originally from Caney, KS, and Vicki is
from Cherryvale. We met during the summer of 1985 on June 14th. I was blessed to marry not
only my high school sweetheart but truly my best friend and strongest partner in life and
ministry. I graduated from Caney Valley High in 1986, and Vicki graduated from Cherryvale in
1989. We were married on August 14, 1993.
My journey has taken me through several different chapters. I worked for Union Pacific Railroad
as an engineer for many years, but God had other plans. After a powerful calling while working
in Boone, Iowa, I surrendered to the ministry and never looked back. I graduated from Ozark
Christian College in 2014 and completed my master’s work at Lincoln Seminary.
Since I graduated from OCC, I’ve served in a variety of roles that have helped shape me as a
pastor and leader, chaplain in hospice care, associate pastor at Cross Point in Stillwater, pastor
at Sumner Baptist and the Free Methodist Church in Bucklin, KS, lead pastor at Central Christian
Church in Fairview, OK, and most recently, pastor at Cornerstone Christian Church in Fredonia,
KS.
Along the way, God has opened doors for some exciting ministry moments—launching new
services in small churches, partnering with global missions in Pakistan, helping develop
outreach programs, and organizing community efforts like “Taco Tuesday,” where we feed over
70 high school students each week and share the love of Christ.
Vicki and I share a deep passion for feeding people, both physically and spiritually. We've led
food pantry programs, organized commodity distributions, and helped launch initiatives to
serve hundreds of families. We believe that sharing a meal often opens the door to sharing
God’s love.
We have two grown children, Michael and Elizabeth, and two beautiful grandchildren, James
and Lexi, who remind us daily of God's blessings. In our free time, we enjoy visiting Branson,
reading, attending community events, and watching sports.
Our heart’s desire is simple: to be part of a church family that loves God, welcomes others, and
looks beyond its walls to serve the community. We’re grateful to be here in Erie and are looking
forward to getting to know each of you.
Thank you for welcoming us!
Yours in Christ,
Jeff Baker
