Welcome to Eric's Lab
Our research focuses on plant hormones, with a special emphasis on strigolactones — a remarkable class of signals that influence plant architecture, symbiosis, and communication with the environment.
By combining analytical chemistry, molecular biology, and cutting-edge technologies, we aim to uncover metabolisms that drives plant development. Our goal is to build a comprehensive understanding of how these hormones shape the life of plants — from roots to shoots, and beyond.
OUR LATEST NEWS
We have received a Research Project Grant for Newly-Recruited Personnel (Special Topic Category) from the National Science and Technology Council
Our lab officially opens at Academia Sinica Biotechnology Center in Southern Taiwan (BCST) on 1/July/2025!
Eric won the 2024 Young Scientist Award - Plant Session at the Society for Experimental Biology Annual Conference
Jian You (Eric) specializes in plant science and biochemistry. He employs advanced analytical biochemistry to identify key metabolites, and integrating transcriptomic approaches to unravel the molecular mechanisms of growth-regulatory metabolism.
After spending 8 years in Saudi Arabia, he is starting his lab in Tainan at the Academia
