Over the last few years, I’ve been working on getting different parts of my life straightened out — work, routines, relationships, and honestly, just how I show up in the world. A lot has changed, and I’m trying to make sure the things people see online actually match the person I am now, not the version of me from years ago.
I’m not pretending the past didn’t happen. I’m also not interested in letting it be the only thing anyone ever sees. People grow. People learn. I’ve had to do a lot of both.
I ended up going back to school and earning another Bachelor’s degree — this one in English and Sociology. Those two subjects shaped how I think about people, choices, and the way we explain ourselves.
Writing became the one thing that helped me slow down and actually understand what I was doing with my life.
It helps me:
sort out my thoughts
stay honest with myself
keep track of the progress I’m making
put something real online instead of letting old stuff speak for me
It’s not about polishing anything up. It’s just a tool that works for me.
These days my focus is pretty simple:
steady work
keeping my head clear
building routines that don’t fall apart
staying accountable
keeping my life boring in the best way
putting out writing that reflects who I am now
I’m using the skills I picked up in school to write pieces that feel real — nothing fancy, just honest.
The internet has a long memory. Old things stick around forever, even when they don’t reflect the person behind the name anymore. I can’t control that, but I can make sure there’s current, accurate stuff out there too.
So I’m building this site, writing more, and putting together a clearer picture of my life today. Not to erase anything — just to make sure the present isn’t invisible.
I’m trying to keep things steady, keep learning, and keep building a life that actually works. If you’re reading this, thanks for taking a moment to see where I’m at now.
