In this section you'll find my annual assignments as well as student evaluations and comments for each class. Note that there are no student evaluations during the summer semester. Student evaluations for the Fall 2025 semester will be available in January 2026. For each class you will also find the syllabus.
Calculus-based study of classical linear and rotational kinematics and dynamics, including work, energy, impulse, momentum, collisions, gravitation, periodic motion, and wave motion. (4 lecture hours, 3 lab hours)
Double sections are indicated with *
Calculus-based study of electrostatics, electric fields, Gauss' Law, capacitance, current, resistance, magnetic forces and fields, electromagnetic induction, AC circuits, Maxwell's equations, electromagnetic waves, geometric optics and physical optics. (4 lecture hours, 3 lab hours)
Summer 2024 - YEMS - Race Car Physics (11 students)
Be first to the finish line! Racing drivers, designers and builders apply the laws of physics to increase speed and performance. Students will learn and apply laws of physics as they modify model racing cars and compete against classmates in a model racing competition.
Summer 2025 - YEMS - Lego Robotics Challenge (9 students)
Explore the world of engineering and technology working with Lego robotics in the COD Physics Department. Students will learn engineering principles as they plan, design, build, test, and revise robots to complete specific tasks.
