I'm from State College, Pennsylvania, USA and received my BS in Wildlife & Fisheries Science from the Pennsylvania State University in 2010. Some of my previous work has involved working with nesting sea turtles in North Carolina and Florida, Timber Rattlesnake conservation and management in Pennsylvania and Tennessee, and other reptile related research projects across the southeast USA.
I received my MS in Biology from Middle Tennessee State University in 2013, where my work focused on the hibernation ecology, summer movement patterns, and habitat use of Timber Rattlesnakes.
In 2014, I moved to Townsville, Queensland, Australia to start a PhD examining the impacts of cattle grazing on arboreal reptiles. I recently completed my PhD (2018) and continue to work on projects related to reptile ecology, natural history, and conservation. I'm currently a Senior Lecturer in Applied Ecology and Landscape Management at The University of New England, in Armidale, NSW.
Aside from research, I enjoy hiking, camping, wildlife viewing, nature photography, movies, and music.
