About Mr. G

"It is nice to be important, but it is more important to be nice" -G

Greetings and welcome to Mr. Gaestel's (Mr. G) 8th grade class!

My name is Mr. Gaestel, but you may call me Mr. G. I am so proud to be entering into my third year as an 8th grade faculty member here at McClintock!

I am originally from the state of New Jersey, but have been visiting North Carolina since my parents moved here in 2007. While living in New Jersey, I began my journey towards becoming an educator at Passaic County Community College, earning my Associate's degree in humanities. At that time, I was working 11 hour days as a preschool teaching assistant and taking college classes in the evenings. Once I graduated from PCCC, I then transferred to William Paterson University and completed my B.A. in Anthropology in 2013. In the Spring of 2016, I moved to Carolina Beach, North Carolina to begin my graduate degree in Middle Level Teaching, earning my graduate degree in May, 2018.

I promise each and every one of you that I am dedicated to your education and success. We will work very hard, but also have such a wonderful time getting to know each other throughout this year! I want all of you know from day one that I am here for each of you. I will offer you the kindness, respect, and understanding that you deserve. We are all going to have such a fantastic year!!

Thank you all for welcoming me into your school and your community!

Sincerely,

Mr. Gaestel (Mr. G)
