Pixlr is a free online photo editing tool that allows users to edit images from the browser. It offers many features, and it is similar to Adobe Photoshop since both have tools such as cropping, resizing, retouching, adding text, applying filters, and using layers. If the user want to use advanced tools when editing a photo or doing a project, they must pay paid version in order to get advanced tools.
For the first photo I created using Pixlr, I kept the original image as it was; I did not add any effects, adjust the brightness, or change the exposure. For the title "Classroom Rules," I used the Chalkyal font at size 54 and added a rainbow gradient color to make the title stand out. For the numbers, I chose the Courier New font and set the size to 48. Lastly, I used the Easterica font at size 28 for the rule descriptions, which gave the text a softer and more playful look while maintaining readability.
For my second photo, which features a classroom with titles, I utilized several editing tools in Pixlr to enhance the image's aesthetic appeal. I applied the Logan effect and adjusted it to 55 to give the photo a soft and warm tone. I also changed the brightness to 12 and lowered the exposure to -23 to make the overall look more balanced and cozy.Â
For the quote, I used the Junevill font at size 48 to make it stand out. I also added a smaller line of text underneath using a different font which I do not remember which font style I used, and sized it around 20 or 30 to keep it subtle and supportive of the main quote. Lastly, I included the CSUN logo in the corner to personalize the design and show school pride.
