After many many hours of cutting, sanding, epoxying, sanding some more, CNC'ng, fuming (with amonium hydroxide for darkening it), finishing, etc. My good friend Mike has a 300+ lb 6ft long, bench made from a standing dead 166+ year old white oak tree. We dropped the tree into the lake, used a pontoon boat to pull it to the ramp where we loaded it onto a 16ft trailer and took it to my farm to mill it. We spent some time cutting it so that the grain would show the best and then I put it in the solar kiln to dry. After 3 months we started the work. You won't find a scratch on it.
Probably won't get any airmail in this box but should be able to store one of the many amazon packages that arrive. I am anxious to see how the metal holds up. It is coated with "Penatrol", but there are a few areas that will rust (on purpose). I cut the metal on the CNC plasma cutter, welded with a Miller "mig" welder and made the windsock from some Cordura fabric.
Bought some acacia engineered wood flooring to replace my old sheetrock. We had a leak above one of the skylights so roofing work happened and so did the vault. I think it turned out pretty well and I like the black accented trim around them.
Address Sign from Plate Aluminum for my brother.
Cut from a cedar tree in his back yard we milled, dried and made this cedar bench. I love the look of cedar when it is freshly cut. I don't like so much how it yellows over time. I hope the finish we put on it holds up.
Made this little clock with hand prints from our kids for Amy for Mothers day. Weston's is on the left and Alexa's is on the right.
My son's computer desk. I really like some of the sapwood in this walnut piece, it gives a nice contrast and a "richer" look.
Custom Planter
Made this pedestal bed with drawers for my son. Smooth open and close with CNC pattern on the drawers.
Made this pedestal bed for my daughter out of maple. Smooth open and close drawers.
Made a couple of bar signs and had them powder coated in Kearney. They always do a great job with anything I've taken there.
Made these for some friends to cover some electrical panels in the basement wall.
Did a little CNC work on this sign for the neighbors treehouse fort.

Some small slabs of osage orange.
Made this round handled Kant hook from osage orange hedge. I put it on the CNC and indexed it so that I could do one curved side then turned it over and did the other.
Made this for a friend.
Made these for some friends grandkids as banks. They have a plexiglass face on them and were CNC'd from 2.5" thick maple slabs. Maple came from a tree in their back yard.
Had to make this spinner for my Cherokee 235 because the other one departed the airplane over Montana. After many itterations and going through commercially available spinners (fiberglass). They just would not hold up. I decided to make my own. I put a forward bulkhead in it and it is very stable. I have had it on the plane for 100+ hours now with no issues. Even made another one for another 235 driver.
This is the solar kiln that I build for drying wood that I've milled from the farm.
Welded up a base and milled some walnut for this table. Walnut came from our farm.
Made these for friends out of walnut with some sapwood.
Added a little stainless steel to the sign for RedX in Riverside.
Custom bar top made from walnet with some sapwood.
2" walnut background with 1/4" Aluminum CNC cut mountain scape. Made this for a little decoration in the house. The one below is made with Cherry wood.
A few metal name signs cut from steel on the plasma cutter.
Welded up a little square tubing for a friend.
Made this for my friend Mike.
Made this for my good friends.
Made this for my friend and financial advisor Jake Falcon. I highly recommend him.
Tried out the CNC with 4th axis to make this bar tap and then I inlayed my friend Kevin's F6 brand for his ranch in Nebraska.
