Gaga is the movement language developed by Ohad Naharin throughout many years, parallel to his work as a choreographer and artistic director (1990-2018) of BatshevaDance Company. Gaga originated from Naharin’s need to communicate with his dancers and his curiosity in the ongoing research of movement.. Gaga classes are predicated on a deep listening to the body and to physical sensations. The instructions are deployed to increase awareness of and further amplify sensation, and rather than turning from one prompt to another, information is layered, building into a multisensory, physically challenging experience.Gaga/people classes are open to everyone aged 16+, regardless of dance background.Gaga/people classes offer a framework for users to connect to their bodies andimaginations, experience physical sensations, improve their flexibility and stamina, exercise their agility and explosive power, and enjoy the pleasure of movement in awelcoming, accepting atmosphere.
Learn and embody original choreographic materials created and performed by Erez & Kornelia. These sessions offer a deep dive into the unique physical language of the artists — a language shaped by their shared creative history and stage experience. Through guided movement exploration, you’ll work with choreographic sequences drawn directly from their performances, focusing on precision, texture, musicality, and emotional presence.
The practice invites you to explore not only the steps, but also the interpretation, intention, and compositional logic behind the material. It’s an opportunity to engage both body and imagination to move, reflect, and connect with the creative force behind the work.
Whether you're a dancer looking to refine your craft or someone eager to inhabit new physical perspectives, this class invites personal engagement with the art of choreography from the inside out.
A space for freedom , connection, and creative play. These sessions begin with guided improvisation that gradually opens into collective movement exploration. You’ll be invited to tune into your body, your impulses, and the shared energy of the group allowing personal expression to unfold in an open, supportive environment. This is a time to move beyond structure, to follow curiosity, and to let movement arise from sensation, rhythm, and interaction. Whether you're inspired by sound, silence, contact, or stillness, the space encourages deep listening and full-bodied response. The Jam is also a place where the lines between dancer, observer, and co-creator blur making room for spontaneity, intuition, and moments of shared presence. n the Warsaw edition, we’re thrilled to be joined by DJ Eliza Krakówka who will bring her rich musical landscape that supports and elevates the improvisational journey.
Erez is a Jerusalem-born dancer, choreographer, and Gaga teacher with a rich background in both performance and education. A former member of the Batsheva Ensemble and Batsheva Dance Company (2005–2012, 2017–2019), he performed works by Ohad Naharin, Sharon Eyal, Yasmeen Godder, and others.
He began teaching Gaga in 2003 and has since led workshops internationally, while also staging Naharin’s works for companies and institutions worldwide. With a B.Ed. in Dance Education and certification in the Ilan Lev Method, Erez combines technical expertise with a deep somatic understanding. His teaching focuses on body awareness, physical freedom, and performance presence.
Kornelia is a Polish-born dancer, choreographer, and certified Gaga teacher. After graduating from the Ballet School in Poznań, she danced with the Polish Dance Theater before joining the Batsheva Young Ensemble in 2017 — becoming the first Polish artist to do so.
Her artistic career spans collaborations with leading choreographers, musicians, and visual artists in both Poland and Israel. She teaches Gaga People/Dancers, and her classes emphasize embodied awareness, personal expression, and the connection between movement and emotional depth.
