APPLICATION PROCESS FOR INCOMING EXCHANGE STUDENTS:

Once nominated, the student receives an automatically generated e-mail containing essential information about the application process and accommodation. Nominated students are required to submit their online applications

• by 15 April 2021 at 11.59 pm Finnish time (Erasmus+/Turkey, Great Britain)

• by 30 April 2021 at 11.59 pm Finnish time (EU/EEA partners)

The enclosures of the student (Transcript of Records and Language Certificate, e.g. Language Assessment Sheet as PDF files) must be submitted with the electronic application form. Scanned PDF files suffice, i.e. there is no need to submit original documents to the International Office.

Additionally, if the bilateral agreement is with the UTU’s University Consortium of Pori please inform your students accordingly that place of studies is not Turku since the distance between Turku and Pori is 150 km, and students need to know that in advance. Please mark the Pori campus to the additional information in the nomination tool.

The application period opens on 15 March 2021. Those already nominated students will get the application link on that date.

LEARNING AGREEMENT AND COURSES IN ENGLISH

UTU hasn’t yet made the decision how the teaching is conducted in Autumn 2021. Please follow UTU Corona Page for updates

Exchange students can choose courses quite freely across faculty borders (except Business, Education, Law, Medicine) since many of the programmes are multidisciplinary.

 UTU uses the Erasmus+ App (Online Learning Agreement) for learning agreements. The students should fill OLA AFTER his/her application and the proposed study plan of the application has been processed.

Students will have a chance to make changes to their Learning Agreements once they have arrived in Turku.

Please take into consideration the uncertainties that the current corona virus situation has for the exchanges. As information is expected to change, we ask you to check UTU Corona page regularly for the latest updates. The safety of the students is our top priority, and we do our best to provide as much information and predictability as possible.

Unfortunately, UTU cannot take any extra students due to the limitation in the course sizes and a limited number of the exchange student housing. One of the exchange student housing providers is ending its contract and UTU is looking for the replacement at the moment.
